Random act of kindness?

I always love reading those posts on random acts of kindness or faith in humanity restored, I always think to myself "wow I would never do smth like that". Cause I think more selfish than I like to admit, so if I'm not able to gain from doing that deed why should I do it? Well today I was at the hbc lab writing notes when I hear this girl asking ppl for a printing card cause she has a classroom emergency &  has to print ten pages. After asking this guy for it I didn't think of it anymore, until she came asking me for one cause for whatever reason, the guys card didn't work or had no money. She said sorry for asking you like this but think of it as a small act of kindness. So I said sorry I don't have one but I have change, although I think I have at least four or five dollars in change I only gave her three (clearly I wasn't thinking cause ten pages would only cost 1.10) she that Ty and left. She came bk later saying after inserting the dollar she got a printing card and gave me the toonie back. After a little while she came back again saying the dollar isn't enough and asked for the toonie back. So I gave it back to her, and then she pulled out a Starbuck gift card and said it was for me and there should be done money left. At first I said Nono it's okay, really. But she kept insisting and said honestly honestly take it. So i said thanks. When she was done printing she came bk to say thank you again. So polite! But from this I gained more than the$6 gc but I felt really good, and hopefully I'm able to continue doing these little deeds.
Obviously, if I can be so generous and kind to a stranger, I can most Definitely to it to my family! I gotta learn to me nicer and less harsh to my family!

So my family took me down to Portland to celebrate my birthday early! We had a very memorable (and extremely hot) day at the Oregon zoo! I think this is the only time I've ever been to the zoo with my whole family! Then we went to do our usual Portland dt shopping, despite the extreme suffocating heat! (one sad part was these Tory Burch jelly flats that was on sale did not have my size)! Then we went to this Argentina restaurant called oz! There was an hour and a half wait, so we went to target! After that we headed back to the restaurant! It was really good (even tho I was kind of sick orz #failed). The whole restaurant was filled with people, and the lovely scent of charcoal cooked meat! At the end of the meal I had a very pleasant surprise of strawberry sorbet with candies and a plate that had chocolate scribbles of happy birthday! Ps the sorbet was absolutely flavourful! It was definitely a memorable day! Now that I'm growing up I really should learn how to be more considerate, caring, and not, not think about the future, but worry less and take one day at a time! I'm. Definitely a very blessed girl!
